As you know, our industry is facing negative publicity and regulation. The ITA has been fighting on your behalf for over 12 years to "protect your right to tan."
This battle is not free! The ITA spends hundred’s of thousands of dollars annually to fight anti tanning legislation that affects ALL of our businesses. Beginning Jan. 13, 2010, Future Industries will collect a $1.00 contribution on every order with the proceeds to be paid to the ITA to continue the fight. Even if your salon placed an order every week for the entire year this would add up to a contribution of only $52.00 - a minimal amount for a maximum effort. Our hope is to raise $70-80,000 dollars.
A strong industry association is essential. We need less government involvement in our lives, not more! If the government (state, local or federal) can regulate when we can tan, what’s next? Only one round of golf a week? One trip to the beach in summer? How about no top down on your convertible between 10-2pm?
So, we ask you to join the fight! However, you can opt out of this program by calling your representative at Future Industries. If you wish to donate more than $1.00 at a time, you can do that as well by becoming an ITA member or letting your representative know that you wish to donate more.
