Tanning Beds - A Complement to the Sun
Spending time at the beach to get a tan has always been a well sought luxury. A golden brown skin tone is a matter of pride for many individuals. After a bleak and harsh winter, the idea of spending hours in the sunshine is quite appealing.
Tanning beds seem to be the ultimate solution to this problem, as people can get tanned without any side effects. The origin of tanning beds is rooted in medicine; in the early twentieth century it was developed to see if increased exposure to sunlight combats calcium deficiency. Tanning beds, as well as being outdoors in the sun, require moderation, and attention to the length of time you remain in the suns rays.
To ensure their safety, tanning beds have components that require regular maintenance. Some of these important components are the tanning bed bulbs, internal fans, remote cable assembly, and lamp holder.
Tanning beds can be used both in the home and in tanning salons. Tanning beds in salons are generally clamshell shaped. Because of the health concerns relating to over-exposure to UV rays, tanning salons have drawn a lot of flak. Prior appointment is sometimes needed to tan in a salon while home tanning beds offer the convenience of being used any time of the day or night.
Tanning beds and tanning salons are now big businesses. Judicious use of these beds is recommended; tanning might be good for your looks, but risking your health is also foolhardy.
